Characters were really good and there wasn't tons of repeated sex taking loads of pages up with repeated sex scenes. I like a sex scene yes but not time and again the same thing which distracts away from the story. I like the way this author writes a really good story. Will definitely get her books. Jan 13, Maree Repa rated it it was amazing. Written by Blanche Dabney. Such an exciting, most passionate, heart warming romantic time traveler that I simply loved and adored this entire book.
Finally now, Kerry Sutherland had now escaped her abusive boyfriend. She had dreams after reading her most favourite book, that she would met her favourite character, Callum whom she loved. I simply adored this marvellous, and most magnificent romantic tale. Congratulations Blanche Dabney! Mar 16, Lula Pantoofle rated it it was ok Shelves: time-travel-romance , highland-romance. Kerry falls out of an old castle window whilst fleeing her abusive ex.
She meet laird Callum and they try to return her to her time. It was just a bit of a quick instalove thing for me. This is an unfair comparison. Every book is its own beast and I read man Kerry falls out of an old castle window whilst fleeing her abusive ex. Every book is its own beast and I read many, many cookie cutter sports romances with delight. And it should be pointed out that Outlander has faults this book does not! In contrast, this book just takes the nice bits and makes a much shorter, more pleasant read, but it also lacks the depth and detail a longer novel allows space for.
I think if you like this kind of trophe, then this book has all those elements, I just got a bit bored with it as I felt like I knew what was going to happen. Kerry Sutherland falls from a window and lands with a bump in medieval Scotland. Mistaken for the betrothed of the Laird's son she is taken before the man she is to marry. But then he meets Kerry and his life plans change. This is the second book in this newest series by Blanche Dabney.
I read the entire first series but I missed out on book 1 of this one. If the first book is as good as this one I recommend reading it too. I gave this book 4. This is a very enjoyable time travel with all of the expected twists and turns that make up a Blanche Dabney book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nov 28, Space Cowgirl rated it it was amazing. She hits the ground, but wakes up in AD. I also got the book with KU.
Kerry was fleeing a very abusive relationship all while dreaming of finding a man as dashing and heroic as Callum from her favorite book. Not to mention finding out the identity of the writer of her love story. Callum had no intention of marrying from a rival clan just to appease his parents and Nessa felt the same way.

Edward was relentless in his pursuit of Kerry, but thankfully things didn't go as he planned.
I enjoyed the teaser with Janet and her interaction with Kerry, but I really wanted to know what adventure she had while her daughter was falling in love. Nov 26, Susanne M. As an ARC reader, this is my honest opinion. The quality 0f writing that Blanche Dabney has matured to produce, has been a wonderful journey to take.

Falling from a window and in turn, falling into the past, Kerry gets the meet the Callum from her book. Their journey is one worth taking to see what they must go through to get their happy ending. The surprising twist one never sees coming solidifies the quality of this read. This is one trip you won't regret taking! Time travel at it's best Dabney is one of those two. I was lucky enough to be one of the first to read her very first story. I have been hooked ever since.
With each new story Ms. Dabney continues to grow as a writer. She has a way of "painting" a scene so that you truly see it in you head. Kerry and Callum are the latest two characters that find a way to wrap you up in their love story. With each Time travel at it's best With each twist and page turn, I found myself holding my breath, biting my tongue and cheering.
Sometimes this all happened in the same chapter. Nov 28, djc- rated it really liked it. The characters in this story are great. I am a big fan of time travel and loved this one. The path these two have to take to find some happiness is heartfelt. These two belong together but there is always something trying to keep them apart. I loved the unexpected twists in the story. Lily realized too late that her scheming beau cared more about making a name for himself than protecting her reputation. With all of polite society whispering about her, Lily has no choice but to turn to the Duke of Warnick for help.
Too bad the Duke is a Scotsman named Alec who is as reluctant to accept his newfound dukedom as he is to care for a troublesome ward. Readers looking for humor, wit, and cleverness should definitely put this at the top of their TBR pile. Annabel spent more time in prayer than preparing to be a wife. As Bowen and his men take over, Genevieve refuses to leave. Once things have settled down, her plans are to enter an abbey, that is if she can fight the hold Bowen suddenly has on her heart. Marry the reigning laird, of course. Mind you, Adrienne de Simone is not supportive of this union.
In fact, she plans on keeping her distance from Hawk until she can find her way back home to Seattle. But with each passing day her defenses weaken and she finds herself giving in to his seductions bit by bit, until she realizes that she may truly be falling for this man. Last, but certainly not least, is Outlander. This is an epic tale that bounces between and Claire Randall, a combat nurse, is enjoying her second honeymoon with her husband when she suddenly finds herself thrown back in time and into the arms of a Scottish warrior in the middle of a clan war.
This is a must-read for any fans of Scottish romances.
